Pranav Kairon
PhD Student in Physics · University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
I am a second-year PhD student in the Clark Group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working with Bryan Clark. My research sits at the intersection of quantum many-body physics, quantum information, and machine learning.
I’m currently working on problems involving fixed-Node Diffusion Monte Carlo, Measurement-induced phase transitions, quantum simulation and resource estimation for strongly correlated systems
Prior to UIUC, I completed my MSc in Physics at the University of British Columbia and the Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute, where I was supervised by Roman Krems.
Outside of research, I enjoy cycling, playing cricket, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
